We are seeking Locker Room Attendants who play an essential role in the US Open guest experience. In this role, you will wear many different hats and have the opportunity to assist and deliver customer service to visitors from around the world. Our team members genuinely enjoy interacting with people, know what it takes to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Graciously greets and welcomes players, coaches and VIPs as they enter the locker room.
  • Facilitates a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all athletes and anticipates their needs.
  • Provides prompt and courteous service in locating, unlocking and locking player lockers.
  • Interacts with professional training staff and massage therapists and attends to their locker room needs.
  • Advises supervisor and handles special requests from players, coaches, training staff, or massage therapists in a prompt, timely manner.
  • Maintains orderliness of the locker room.
  • Inspects locker room facility and immediately reports issues to shift lead or supervisor.
  • Works with the cleaning staff to maintain a safe and clean environment for all parties.
  • Collects and tracks incoming and outgoing player laundry.
  • Tracks and maintains inventory of equipment given to players.
  • Re-stocks and maintains inventory control of beverages.
  • Re-stocks and maintains inventory control of towels, shower supplies and toiletries.
  • Re-stocks and manages inventory of perishables (bananas, candy etc.).    

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a locker room or athletic setting.
  • Positive, “can do” attitude.
  • Punctual and presentable shift attendance and available to work for the full duration of the US Open Tournament.
  • Presentable, neatly groomed appearance and well-maintained uniform.
  • Available to work days, nights, weekends and extended hours.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and able to handle issues individually with immediate positive actions.
  • Heavy lifting of laundry, towels and/or beverage supplies (20lbs. +).
  • Bilingual preferred. (English plus any other language).
  • Global perspective.
