Who We Are

We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role

This is a 10-week program from June 10th through August 15th.

Working hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM EST

Hybrid schedule: Must be capable to work on-site 2-3 days per week at the Westchester Office

Hourly rate: $35.00

Key responsibilities pertain to working on project(s) that will provide a significant opportunity for experiential learning and/or research.

Responsibilities & Projects:

• The role entails redefining data to/and implementing dashboards and data visualization in Tableau to meet the needs of a sports organization.
• Candidate will also be required to interact with multiple collaborators to understand business and data requirements and interactively design visualizations for initial concepts and prototypes that can be presented for feedback
• Assist in database maintenance and data wrangling
• Collaborate effectively on team projects and work autonomously on individual work as appropriate.

Who You Are

• Confirmed understanding of Amazon Web Service products such as S3, AWS Lambda is encouraged
• Knowledge in scripting languages, Python preferred
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle & Amazon Redshift preferred
• Proficient with Tableau
• Project management experience
• A sophisticated knowledge of business operations is a plus
• Strong intercommunication and research skills
• Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
• Critical thinker
• Capable of working independently and in a collaborative business environment
• Experience with developing presentation decks (i.e. Powerpoint/or Google Slides)
